Fun sayings, positive affirmations and powerful quotes.

Act enthusiastic and you will be enthusiastic.

~Dale Carnegie (1888 - 1955)
  American writer and lecturer

How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.

~Annie Dillard  (1945 -  )
  American author

Just as appetite comes by eating, so work brings inspiration, if inspiration is not discernible at the beginning.

~Igor Stravinsky  (1882 - 1971)
  Russian composer

This is one of my favorite positive affirmations statements:

Criticism can be very subtle in the way it creeps into our thoughts. Here are some examples of criticism to help you become aware of its subtlety, so you can eliminate it from your thoughts:
The weather is awful today.
The traffic is terrible.
The service is really bad.
Oh no, look at the line.
He/she is always late.
How long do we have to wait for our order?
That motorist is a lunatic.
It's so hot in here.
I've been on hold for so long!

These are subtle things, but the law of attraction is listening to them all.  You have the ability to appreciate something in every single circumstance. There is always something to be grateful for.

Rhonda Byrne
Creator "The Secret"

Here is an excerpt from the book, How to Be Rich ~ Compact Wisdom from the World's Greatest Wealth-Builders.

There's Divinity behind our Visions.

Of, course, I do not mean by dreams and visions the mere fantasies, the vague, undefined thoughts that flit through the mind, but our real heart longings, our soul yearnings, the mental pictures of a future that haunts our dreams, and the insistent urge which prods us until we try to match them with their reality, to bring them out into the actual. There is a divinity behind these visions. They are prophecies of our possible future, and nature is throwing up these pictures on our mental screen to give us a glimpse of the possibilities that are awaiting us.
One reason why most of us do such little, unoriginal things is because we do not sufficiently nurse our visions and longings. The plan of the building must come before the building. We climb by the ladder of our visions, our dreams. The sculptor's model must live in the sculptor's mind before it can be called out of the marble. We do not fully realize the mental force we generate by persistently visualizing our ideal, by the perpetual clinging to our dreams, the vision of the thing we long to do or to be. We do not know that nursing our desires makes the mental pictures sharper, more clean-cut, and that these mental processes are completing the plans of our future life building, filling in the outlines and details, and drawing to us out of the invisible energy of the universe the materials for our actual building.

(From The Key to Prosperity: Conquering Poverty Thinking, by Orison S. Marden, 1922.)

A lovely quote by author Louise L. Hay from her book ~ Heart Thoughts.

It is safe

to look within.

Each time you look

deeper into yourself,

you are going to find

incredibly beautiful

treasures within you.

Have a beautiful day,

Dreams want action.

Inspired action is a interesting topic. This is the feeling I take  away whenever I am exposed to any talks by Richard Branson. I get this deep feeling that I should be doing something far greater and wider for my fellow mankind.

I feel inspired.

Then the pattern of my life sets in and I settle back into my gratitude for having a positive effect on other people's lives on a  much smaller scale that I can realistically handle. We all have our own path to follow and contribute to the kindness and love bank on a daily basis. I guess I feel kind of small when I look at what he has accomplished. Then I remind myself of the following:

One penny or one million dollars used for goodness - it is still energy moving.

However, putting myself out of my comfort box is what happens when I watch Richard Branson talk. I am so amazed at what one person has done with their life. I am so grateful he used his energy to be one of the good guys here on planet earth with his philanthropic venues.

Being of service outside of yourself is where I believe you need to live in order to hang out with this mans crowd. He thinks so big and outside of the box it almost takes my breath away.

Even if I can't be Richard Branson it is really wonderful to know that it is actually possible to dream big.  He recognized early on that his actions would fulfill his dreams.
Dreams want action. Not thoughts that swirl around in your head.

I found this dated interview of of Richard Branson with Joe Polish, but I feel that the words of wisdom are still relevant. You walk away with a sense of what it takes to be a entrepreneur through the eyes of Richard Branson. The video is lengthy in time 40 minutes in all.  The gems are tucked away in a sentence here a statement there.

What does your gratitude look like?

Some people it seems just skate through life without showing much gratitude and do just fine. I have met these people along my path and so have you I will presume.

However what they have gained by their acquired material items in relationship to wisdom is really the question to ask.

I think this is a great  example of just keeping your eye on your own path and not comparing of where you appear to be. One of the best things I have discovered in my life to date (other than perfume.com) is that if you keep your thoughts on your inner happiness you spend less time looking at other people's success and failures.

By minding your own garden you are contributing to those around you.  You become your own little lighthouse. I hear a song coming...

"This little light of mine I'm going to let it shine"... let it shine,  let it shine,  let it shine...

When a wonderful event happens in your life and you look back at the path that led you there, you can connect the dots. Did you celebrate the path all along the way with gratitude leading up to that big occasion? Even on the bad days when things were not so great - did you remember to show up with enthusiasm and joy?

I guess my vision on this is that all the moments leading up to your happy memory can become part of the whole celebration with daily gratitude. Not only do you get to enjoy the destination you also get to enjoy the journey of you getting there.  Expectant thoughts of a happy future give the momentum, and these two emotions walk side by side throughout the day.

I make a mindful note to myself when I am down that I do not want to waste  much time on the branch of sadness and doubt.  I will be mad at myself when the good rolls in that I spent my  time of focusing on something that interrupts my flow to goodness and kindness.

What about the people along the way that led up to that great moment in your life?

Have a beautiful day.
